Purpose

The purpose of the Eagle Cliff Ski Association is to promote Eagle Cliff Area as a non-motorized recreational experience resource. We primarily maintain trails for winter cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. We are a non-profit  group of volunteers who are passionate about playing in the snow and being outside in the beautiful Black Hills.

 History

The Eagle Cliff Area trails were developed by local cross-country ski enthusiasts in the mid 1980's. Richard L. Fort was instrumental in exploring the area, mapping out trails, and nurturing its development into the recreational treasure we enjoy today. The trail system has become popular among recreationists because of the opportunity to create one's own adventure.
